Birthing the New Goddess Heart Rising Deck + Seven Goddesses for Solstice

Within each of us lies the potential for so many possible forms of expression. There are limitless ways in which we may embody the Light, respond to our challenges, and perceive our world.

NgoshkwePart of my personal calling takes form in the role of the Messenger, the Translator, the Bridge between Worlds. In my late teens and twenties, I rejected the idea of myself as a fine artist, despite the naturalness of paintbrush in hand and positive feedback on my work, because I envisioned this as being alone in a room creating something valued by few people, with little impact on the everyday world.

It wasn’t until I connected with my personal spiritual roots that I gained the inner foundation necessary for me to find the ongoing inspiration for and purpose of my art.

My art brings the presence of Higher Dimensional energies more palpably into our 3-dimensional reality, continually teaching me about it through the process. I am not a scholar, researcher, theorist, or theologian. My focus is on being as clear a conduit as possible. I continually discover more about what I am painting by painting it, by opening to the guidance that flows through me afterward regarding it, and by sharing it with others.

I incorporate the originals in spiritual workshops and events, and the mass-produced versions into self-empowering products that help you to tap into, learn about, and benefit from these energies within yourself and the world around you.

I began consciously painting Goddess archetypes in 2003, many of them on re-used kitchen cabinet and bi-fold closet doors. You can find sixteen of the 35 or so Goddess paintings I’ve created so far in Goddess Heart Rising: Paintings, Poems & Meditations for Activating Your Divine Potential. They offer a doorway into self-healing and self-empowerment.

And now you can also work with these images in card form through the Goddess Heart Rising deck, which synthesizes the main themes of each archetype. The deck can be used either separately or in tandem with the Goddess Heart Rising book to help empower you with your goals and challenges, illuminating and inspiring with new perspectives.

I have also developed Goddess Heart Guidance 101a class to teach you how you can best benefit from the new deck.

And the work continues! My latest pair of paintings, “Gaia” and “Grandmother Moon,”  on what were the semi-circular ends of an old oval oak table, will be included in my upcoming book, Goddess Heart Dancing, which will be released in Spring 2018, and at Goddess Extravaganza, which will be held June 23, 2018.

To continue to honor the Sacred Feminine as we move toward this winter’s solstice, I am starting Seven Goddesses for Solstice today, which will share insights and images every three days regarding one of the following: Ngoshkwe/Star Woman, Cereidwen, Persephone, Isis, Mother Mary, Gaia, and Spider Woman, 12/3/17 through 12/21/17.

If you would like to be part of this free, online event, please join me in the new, temporary Facebook Group Seven Goddesses for Solsticewhere you can read insights, enjoy images, and respond with your own experiences of these archetypal energies,  or email me at info@empoweringlightworks.com with “Solstice Goddesses” in the subject heading to receive emails of my Facebook posts.

Araena/Wind Woman: Goddess of the Week

What kinds of changes are happening in your life right now?

What kinds of change would you like to create or to navigate less painfully, more gracefully?

My writing, channeling and healing work deal with this theme continually. As human beings, we are both resistant to and birthed through change. Some say it’s the one thing you can count on.

Only the eternal is unchanged, which we are at our root. I believe we’re eternal beings choosing to expand through temporal experiences. So in the spirit of this, and today’s full moon, Araena/Wind Woman is this week’s Goddess focus.

I invite you to take time with hope the related meditation below and open to the power of the currents of change within and around you.

Meditation from Araena/Wind Woman

Feel my sweeping currents

within and without,

(Change, there is always change)

echoing through your skin and bones,

cells and atoms,

electrons and nuclei,

(Change, there is always change)

reverberating through your mind, thoughts,

beliefs, expressions,

(Change, there is always change)

stinging your routines, actions, choices,

(Change, there is always change)

into different directions,

(Change, there is always change)

pushing you toward new territories, vast spaces,

(Change, there is always change)

waking you up to a limitless panorama of opportunity

(Change, there is always change)

that echoes through your skin and bones,

cells and atoms,

electrons and nuclei,

(Change, there is always change)

reverberates through your mind, thoughts,

beliefs, expressions,

(Change, there is always change)

and opens up your routines, actions, choices,

(Change, there is always change)

to your next evolution.

Change.

There is always change.

You are free to fly with it

or against.

Change.

There is always change.

You are free to discover its treasure.

Change.

There is always change.

You are free to delight in its newness.

Change.

There is always change.

You are free to revel in your ability to

change.

There is always change.

The Choice to Clear: Self-Reflection Question for the Week

How do you decide when to clear something out of your life?

Whether it’s a habit, relationship, old papers or interpersonal dynamic, we all reach a place where we’re called to clear out things that no longer serve us.

How do you muster the effort it takes to make such changse?

If you are looking for spiritual support for this necessity, I highly recommend calling upon the powerful energy of Hindu goddess Kali.

Kali’s knife is clear and strong,
a shining blade cutting through illusion,
doubt, pain, and struggle
to reveal the Truth emanating at your core.

Ngoshkwe/Star Woman’s Message

Trace my beams of light marks
into your ancient patterns of knowing
to reveal your rising choices
and extend your view of Infinity.

I can allow your gifts to meld with my own
so the magic percolates carefully
throughout your known world and beyond,
and you can hear my whispers echo
across your lines of “can and can’t have”
until there is nothing but open space for creating.

I shift your reality so it turns in alignment
with All-That-Is in eternal light.
And I lift your frame of reference
to include all time as one.

Dreams & Visions for 2015

Cereidwen, copyright R. McGrath

Cereidwen, copyright R. McGrath

At this time of year, we often hear about and/or make our own New Year’s resolutions, and the probability of accomplishing them or not. But how about considering our dreams and visions for the new year instead?

One of Cereidwen’s self-reflection questions in Goddess Heart Rising asks us if we are paying attention to our dreams and visions. It seems to me that all too often “resolutions” come out of our mental activity, our comparisons and “shoulds,” rather than full connection with our hearts and souls.

Last night I had the gift of listening to Flo Aeveia Magdalena’s meditation, part of Soul Support Systems’ free Monday Manifesting Mastery conference call series, for calling upon our hearts and souls in combination with our Divine Blueprint and future in order to envision our opportunities for 2015.

Tomorrow I will have the joy of participating in a shamanic drumming journey and Maori medicine wheel drawing with dear friends for additional perspectives on the same purpose.

And this Sunday, January 4th, I will have the honor of facilitating Goddess Heart Rising for the New Yearan opportunity to embody your Inner Goddess through poetry, music, simple movement, guided meditation, mask creation, chanting, group story making an more in a supportive circle on the 1st full moon of the year!

It’s when we create our futures from as much of our vast selves as possible that the field is fertile with magic, helping us to create what truly suits us! And there is so much magic I am looking forward to for 2015!

May your holiday and year reflect the magic that you are, such that we may all revel in its benefits together!

A very happy New Year’s Eve and 2015 to you!

As we move into the heart of the holidays and toward the new year, you may want to consider this question from Cereidwen’s Self-Reflection page in Goddess Heart Rising:

Am I paying attention to my dreams and visions?

Cereidwen’s Message

Melt
through layers
of radiating waves
that pull through time’s eccentricities
and score sounds beyond range of hearing,
into modes that excavate
our twilight nature
through silent song.

Questions for December’s Waning Moon

"Modern Day Kuan Yin," copyright Roslyn McGrath

“Modern Day Kuan Yin,” copyright Roslyn McGrath

Kuan Yin is one of the first spiritual teachers I became acquainted with on my conscious path and one that I feel especially close with. She’s known for helping to bring about everyday sorts of miracles, rather than the out-of-the-blue kind, and for her great compassion, giving her the description “She who hears the cries of the world.”

It seems to me one of the things people want most is to be heard, to be truly listened to and acknowledged. When you listen with your full attention, your full presence, it’s an irreplaceable gift.

Perhaps you can recollect a time where someone really deeply listened to you, and what it meant to you.

The art of listening can be cultivated, a very worthwhile effort, as we must have the capacity to listen in order to truly grow beyond our own immediate perceptions and possible misconceptions.

To be able to listen with compassion is both a skill and a gift, something required in our efforts to experience Heaven on Earth.

So in relation to all this, the Questions for  December’s Waning Moon, adapted from Goddess Heart Rising: Paintings, Poems & Meditations for Activating Your Divine Potential, which you might want to consider through this holiday season are:

How supported do I feel in my life? How well do I support others?
